the great outdoors

Being that it was freezing cold, I took advantage of my ressources and went for a skate in my backyard. The dog came with, and quite enjoyed herself I might say.

Doggie Style

Here's a glimpse of my favourite pooch. we're soulmates, and in love, mostly on a platonic level. Although I see the way she looks at me while i'm sleeping.

Level 1 Productions Premiere Tour

Oddly, the club that hosted the Montreal premiere turned out to be a goth hangout. I reckon they were as mystified by our presence as we were by theirs. In any case, I took the opportunity to make some new friends, like this cutie in the black latex. Her boyfriend was especially open to my advances towards her, which made me a little uncomfortable. To this day, i'm not sure what they had in mind, although somewhere, deep inside of my inner being, the possibilities of hot wax on my chest and her in that dog collar keep me warm at night.
Food For Skis was a program that I initiated to promote awareness of homeless shelters in a few cities we visited. The most eager donator received a free pair of skis courtesy of Julien Heon. Liam Downey and David Crichton cross their fingers that they will leave Montreal with a new pair of skis. Alas, both went home empty handed that evening.
Simon Dumont has won a gold medal the halfpipe contest of the X-Games two years in a row. As for myself, I have accomplished that feat approximately 2 fewer times than Simon.

Freedle Coty is passionate about taking pictures of himself jumping from interesting objects. Here, he prepares to perform for my camera.
Mr. Berman along with ski prodigy Jean-Denis Zicat. The third guy is presumably a member of JD's " entourage."

The Imax in Quebec City was the place to be on Friday October 7.
One of the highlights of the weekend for myself was meeting JP Auclair. JP is an athlete, but really an artist on skis. Uber creativity and genius can be found in all aspects of his skiing. He pretty much founded the movement in the mid 1990's. I first saw his work in Warren Miller's Freeriders, and then subsequently Degenerates. His Poor Boyz Productions video segments have inspired me every year to combine athletics with artistic pursuits.

A little pre-midterm break was in order, so I hit the road with Berman and Freedle Coty of Level 1 Productions to go on a few Shanghai Six premiere tour stops.

on january 1st, Josh Berman, Matt Harvey, and Jay Michelfelder will be up in Montreal shooting for the new level 1 productions film, as well as Freeskier magazine.
